Outdoor courtyard, bar and breakfast buffet was good
When I inquired at front desk where breakfast buffet was located (it is in the basement), person on duty answered by joking "there isn't one"..."oh, there is one but it's $50 a person...". Honestly early in the morning and never having stayed here, that was annoying. I next listened to the woman also working at the front desk make a personal call to a significant other and scold him about something he had done that morning. The service was extremely inexperienced and unprofessional.
When making the reservation it read that I woud have two beds and a fold out sofa....I had one bed-I moved the second night_ I will not be using you again!! The staff was wonderful about the whole thing
If I got what was described it would have been fine
The courtyard is absolutely beautiful and most of the staff were friendly. The room decor is very nice.
Cold water faucet was broken!!! This was a big issue and required a lot of pushing and trying to turn the faucet at the same time. Even so, we could not get it turned off and had to leave it running. When we told the front desk clerk, he didn't apologize at all. He just told me he had given us a credit. When I looked at the bill, he had taken $20 off. This was more than a $20 inconvenience. When we told him that we almost came down and asked for another room, he just said we should have done that since they had some no-shows that night. No apology at all. We didn't ask for another room because it was after midnight and I had already undressed to take a bath.
It's clean and comfortable. Right on the main street too and just across from the city's rapid transport train (dubbed marta). There's not a lot of restaurants around though...avg 8-10 minutes walk.
This was my second stay at the Artmore, and both times were for a concert at the nearby Center Stage Theatre. I love the Artmore, it is comfortable, well-maintained and has character. I enjoyed and appreciated the included breakfast, and the outdoor courtyard is a great spot to relax and have a drink. With the MARTA stop right across the street (Arts Center station), it is very easy to get to and from the hotel, even without a rental car. Overall, a great spot and one that I'd like to revisit - hopefully in the future, I can spend a bit more time there.
Large and very nice room, very comfy bed.
My room was closest to the bar and on one night a private event was hosted there which was rather noisy and went on till around midnight.
